Meeting Minutes for 12/06/2005 at the V.C. Highlands Fire Station
1. Called
meeting to order at 7:40 P.M.
Members present: Bill Redman, Stephen Musser, Bill Lewis, Eileen Craig &
Sherry McCready
Members absent: Wally Corey
2. Bill Redman made a motion to approve 11/01/2005 minutes which was seconded by Bill Lewis.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. New plans reviewed -
1. Gilbert
Gonzalez - Change in exterior finish and addition of two balconies to new
residence previously approved - located Block H, Lot 50 - also known as 21850
Adobe Spur. Exterior finish was previously approved as 8” wood lap, but has now
been approved to be stucco - the color will remain the previously approved
color (light sage green with dark green trim). Plans in our file were altered
by the owner to show where the balconies will be located on the structure and
what the dimensions will be. New front balcony will be 21’ x 7’ and the balcony
in the rear will be 29’ x 8’. Plans are approved. Fee of $60.00 collected -
check # 1028.
2. Dale
Morgan - Location changed of proposed new home site that was previously
approved for Block M, Lot 67 - also known as 21850 Clemens. Home will now be
moved forward 30’ from it’s originally approved site. Newly approved plot plan
in file - no other changes made. Plans are approved - no fee for this
review.
3. Sam
Jones & Sharlene Purviand - Change in exterior finish of new residence
previously approved - located Block I, Lot 33 - also known as 2439 Cartwright
Road. Exterior finish was previously approved as hardy board lap siding, but
has now been approved to be stucco - the color will remain the previously
approved color (Mt. Elk green, a lighter green trim with Tribal Pottery brown
accents). Plans are approved - no fee for this review.
4. David
& Vicki Cunningham - New residence to be located at Block I, Lot 34 - also
known as 21875 Adobe Road. New home will be a 2406 s.f single-story with a 658
s.f. rear covered patio, a front covered porch and an attached 785 s.f. garage.
This homes exterior will be primarily stucco in an ivory-beige color with
windows trimmed in TeePee brown, eaves trimmed in Belgian Sweet brown and some
stone accents. Roof will be composition shingle in brown. Bill Lewis will
review site for defensible space on a date to be determined before final
approval for these plans is given. Plans are approved. Collected $1,974.60,
check # 1160.
5. Robert
Crow - Review of preliminary plans and model of proposed home before purchase
of actual plans. Home to be located at Block M, Lot 290 - also known as 2001
Saddleback. Home will be 4500 s.f with an attached 3 car garage. Exterior of
home will be in stucco and stone. Style of home is considered modern as there
are very few edges on the exterior - most edges are rounded. Home was agreed to
be in harmony as the stonework on the exterior of the home is extensive and
blends nicely with the Highlands. No plans were given and official approval
- no fee was collected.
2. Total Collected: $2,034.60 - For 2 new homes, two balconies, two exterior changes and one preliminary review..
3. Review of Violations -
Anthony Burbidge - Wrecked truck, truck cab hanging from tree
& inoperable (by appearances) BMV in the front yard of 21910 Adobe Road. No
response to 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Letter of
Violation. Fifth Letter of Violation to be sent via the Sheriff’s Dept. with a
$400.00 fine. Total fine owed is now $750.00.
Del & Beverly Williams - Trailers, motor home, broken down
cars and general trash located at 1855 Empire Road. No response to 1st,
2nd, 3rd or 4th Letter of Violation. Fifth
Notice of Violation to be sent via the Sheriff’s Dept. with a $400.00 fine for
the broken down cars and general trash that is still present. Total fine owed
is now $750.00.
